The three-spined stickleback was Eugene Zalan’s favourite fish as a child. For his own pendant, he brought it together with the thistle: two small natural forms with a delicate presence and a sharp defence. ITO YO carries that memory into adult life.
02 / The transformation
The film moves from a motorcycle ride beneath golden autumn trees to the living fish and twisting thistle stems. Their transformation into the pendant connects the object to its personal origin. Close views return to its silhouette, surface and black cord.
03 / The connection
Night, movement and a rock soundtrack bring another side of the story into view. In the club, a woman pauses to examine the pendant. The pace slows around that gesture before the energy returns: a private memory becomes a moment of connection.
04 / The production
Pendant design, creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour finishing, original music and lyrics come together in one authored campaign. The film demonstrates an approach to jewellery advertising that gives a piece a story, a visual identity and a place in someone’s life.
